1. Definitions and Interpretation
These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of removals, storage, packing, property clearance, commercial relocation and related services by BOXD Removals Ltd. References to ‘Company’ mean BOXD Removals Ltd and references to ‘Customer’ mean the person or organisation purchasing services.
2. About BOXD Removals Ltd
BOXD Removals Ltd provides domestic removals, commercial relocations, packing services, storage solutions and related logistics throughout the United Kingdom. All services are provided subject to these Terms and any written quotation.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By accepting a quotation, paying a deposit or permitting the Company to commence work, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
4. Quotations and Estimates
Quotations are based upon information supplied by the Customer and may be revised if that information is inaccurate or incomplete. Unless expressly stated, quotations remain valid for 30 days.
5. Home & Virtual Surveys
Where a survey is undertaken, the Customer must provide complete and accurate information regarding the volume of goods, access restrictions, parking arrangements, stairs, lifts and any unusual items.
6. Booking Process
A booking is confirmed only when the Company issues written confirmation and any required deposit has been received.
7. Deposits
Deposits are non-refundable except where cancellation rights under applicable law require otherwise or where the Company agrees in writing.
8. Payments
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the balance is payable before unloading or commencement of storage. Late payments may incur reasonable recovery costs and statutory interest where applicable.
9. Price Variations
The Company may reasonably adjust the agreed price where additional goods, extended waiting time, restricted access, customer delays or other circumstances outside the original quotation materially affect the services provided.
10. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must ensure that all information supplied during quotation and booking is complete and accurate. They must ensure that goods are ready for collection at the agreed time, obtain any necessary permissions, provide safe access to the property and disclose any items requiring specialist handling.
11. Access, Parking and Property
The Customer is responsible for arranging suitable parking, permits and access. Where long carries, stairs, lifts, restricted access or delayed entry increase the time or resources required, additional charges may apply. The Company may suspend work where conditions are unsafe.
12. Packing Services
Where BOXD Removals Ltd provides a professional packing service, suitably trained staff will use industry-standard materials. The Company will take reasonable care while packing but cannot guarantee against latent defects in fragile or previously damaged items.
13. Owner-Packed Goods
The Company accepts no responsibility for internal damage to cartons packed by the Customer unless such damage results directly from proven negligence during handling or transportation. Customers should use strong boxes and appropriate protective materials.
14. Furniture Dismantling and Reassembly
Where agreed in advance, the Company may dismantle and reassemble standard furniture. The Customer must advise of any specialist, bespoke or antique furniture before the removal date.
15. Prohibited and Dangerous Goods
The Customer must not include hazardous materials, explosives, firearms, ammunition, illegal substances, corrosive chemicals, gas cylinders, perishable food, live animals or any item whose transport is prohibited by law. The Company may refuse to transport such goods without liability.
16. Delays and Waiting Time
Where delays arise due to customer actions, third parties, restricted access, property readiness or other matters outside the Company’s control, reasonable waiting-time or additional labour charges may be applied.
17. Health and Safety
The Company reserves the right to refuse work where employees would be exposed to unsafe conditions, including structural hazards, aggressive behaviour, dangerous animals, biohazards or unsafe lifting conditions.
18. Customer Cooperation
The Customer agrees to cooperate with Company staff, follow reasonable instructions and promptly notify the Company of any concerns before completion of the service wherever practicable.
19. Storage Services
Where storage services are provided, goods will be stored in facilities selected by BOXD Removals Ltd. Storage charges are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed. Customers must not store prohibited, hazardous, combustible or illegal items. The Company may inspect, move or relocate stored goods where reasonably necessary for operational or safety reasons.
20. Commercial Relocations
For commercial removals, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is disconnected, data is backed up and any confidential information is secured before relocation. BOXD Removals Ltd accepts no responsibility for business interruption, loss of profit, data loss or consequential losses unless required by law.
21. Insurance Options
The Customer is responsible for ensuring adequate insurance cover for the full replacement value of all goods. Where enhanced liability or insurance options are offered, the Customer must disclose the true replacement value of the goods and comply with the insurer’s conditions.
22. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to applicable law, the Company’s liability for loss of or damage to goods is limited to the level of liability agreed in writing or required by law. The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of income, business, goodwill or opportunity.
23. Exclusions
The Company shall not be responsible for damage arising from inherent defects, wear and tear, moth, vermin, atmospheric conditions, electrical or mechanical failure, inadequate owner packing, undisclosed fragile items, or delays outside the Company’s reasonable control.
24. Damage and Loss Claims
Any apparent damage should be reported as soon as reasonably practicable and preferably before the removal team leaves the premises. Written claims should include photographs, supporting evidence and a description of the alleged damage. Customers must retain damaged items for inspection where requested.
25. Time Limits for Claims
Claims should be submitted within the period specified in the booking confirmation or, where no period is specified, within a reasonable time after discovery. Delayed notification may prejudice investigation and resolution.
26. Third-Party Contractors
Where specialist contractors are engaged at the Customer’s request, BOXD Removals Ltd will exercise reasonable care in selecting them but is not responsible for their acts or omissions except where required by law.
27. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, fire, industrial action, road closures, government restrictions, pandemics, utility failures or other unforeseen events.

Customers may cancel services in accordance with the booking confirmation and applicable UK consumer legislation. 29. Consumer Contracts
Where the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply, customers will receive the required pre-contract information and any applicable cancellation rights. If the customer requests services to begin during a cancellation period, they may become liable for reasonable charges for work already performed.
30. Complaints Procedure
Complaints should be submitted in writing as soon as reasonably practicable with supporting evidence where appropriate. BOXD Removals Ltd aims to acknowledge complaints promptly and investigate them fairly before issuing a written response.
31. Privacy and Data Protection
The Company processes personal information in accordance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and its Privacy Policy. Personal data is used only for legitimate business purposes, legal obligations and service delivery.
32. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, branding, website content, quotations, documents and marketing materials remain the intellectual property of BOXD Removals Ltd unless otherwise agreed in writing.
33. Website Terms
Users of the Company’s website must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software or infringe intellectual property rights. Website content is provided for general information and may be updated without notice.
34. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the services provided shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless consumer law provides otherwise.
35. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
36. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any accepted quotation and any documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Customer regarding the services supplied.
